Did you miss the fourth annual Hemingway Society's Holidays with Hemingway virtual party on Thursday, December 14 at 8 pm EST?
It was a good time. We celebrated with music, a scavenger hunt, a holiday- or Hemingway-themed (or both) writing contest, and, of course, a signature cocktail. Of course, we can't re-create the live sequences, but no need for complete FOMO (Fear of Missing Out). You can watch the pre-recorded elements of the party. Go to the 4th Annual Holidays with Hemingway Virtual Party.
This year, Society members will elect two candidates to serve three-year terms.
Voting will open on Wednesday, November 8th, and remain open until December 2 at 11:59 pm.
After reviewing the Candidate Statements, members in good standing can vote by clicking on one of the "Vote" buttons below.
NOTE: You will need to log in the your Society membership account to be able to vote.
Join Hemingway Society Board Member, Sharon Hamilton, as she gives us a close look at Hemingway's time in Toronto in 1923 on the 100th anniversary of John "Bumby" Hemingway's birth.
THE HEMINGWAY SOCIETY WILL HOLD ITS 20TH INTERNATIONAL HEMINGWAY CONFERENCE FROM JULY 14-20 2024 IN SAN SEBASTIÁN AND BILBAO, SPAIN.

The Hemingway Society will be at the American Literature Association in Boston, MA from May 25-27 at the Westin Copley Place. We have a session scheduled for 4pm on May 27 and a Business Meeting at 5:30pm also on May 27. Please be advised: You must register for the conference to attend.

Each year the Hemingway Society accepts applications for its Lewis-Reynolds-Smith Founders Fellowship grant, and typically makes two awards of $1,000 each to support the development of a Hemingway-related project. The award honors the contributions of Robert W. Lewis, Michael Reynolds, and Paul Smith, whose work greatly influenced Hemingway studies. Preference is given to enrolled graduate students, independent scholars, or recent recipients of doctorate degrees. Applications are due by February 19, 2023.
