CALL FOR GRADUATE STUDENT PAPERS: THE 2026 ERNEST HEMINGWAY SOCIETY SEMINAR IN KETCHUM, IDAHO

Posted on behalf of the Community Library, Ketchum, Idaho: For our 2026 Ernest Hemingway Seminar in Ketchum, Idaho, The Community Library is opening a call for proposals focusing on graduate student invitations. We are eager to foster interest from current students and recent graduates in literature and the humanities in Hemingway’s work. The writer does not need to have been a focus of your studies. Our central text this year is The Garden of Eden. We’ll be joined by scholars Carl Eby and Marc Dudley, biographer Timothy Christian, as well as Mac Test and Stacey Guill of Boise State University, who is a sponsor of the seminar. From students, we are looking specifically for proposals that will extend our reading of Garden and offer new perspectives on the story. Student presentations will be 20-30 minutes in length. We anticipate accepting 1-2 proposals for presentations, panels, or other formats.

The Community Library will cover lodging for 3 nights and provide travel reimbursement for invited student speakers. Here is the link with more information and the application: 2026 Ernest Hemingway Seminar Call for Presentations – Fill out form Applications with an abstract are due on May 22.
