Dear Society Members:
Welcome to our 2018 on-line voting for two open positions on the Board of Trustees of the Ernest Hemingway Foundation/Society. The winners will be elected for three-year terms beginning January 1, 2019. Our voting procedure will be the same as last year and begins here on November 1st, with a deadline of November 30th . Your Society membership must be current to vote. The Foundation/Society will announce the election results online by December 15, 2018
We have four candidates for the two open positions: Carl Eby, Matthew Nickel, Alex Vernon and Raúl Villarreal.
Before voting please read carefully each candidate’s statement and consider that Board members should be willing to attend the annual Board meeting (often held in conjunction with the American Literature Association’s annual conference), and that they should be prepared and able to take on assigned responsibilities (which can be considerable) in keeping with the ongoing mission of the Foundation/Society to promote interest and scholarship in the works of Ernest Hemingway. This is very much a working Board.
