Local Non-Member Wyoming Resident Registration

The PEN/Hemingway Fundraiser dinner features PEN/Hemingway award winner and National Book Award finalist Kevin Powers (The Yellow Birds). The event is sponsored by the Ucross Foundation which has for many years partnered with PEN/Hemingway to provide writing space for winners of this award. 

The Travel Grant Scholars dinner will be held at Historic Sheridan Inn. The dinner will introduce and honor this years’ Hinkle Student Travel Grant scholars, a group of outstanding graduate students, the Founders' Fellowship winners, the Independent Scholar Travel Grant winner, and provide continued funding for these important travel awards. An Italian dinner and wine* will be served and entertainment will be provided by cowboy poet and singer, Dave Munsick. The Inn is famous as the place where Buffalo Bill Cody auditioned acts for his Wild West Show and where Hemingway stayed for part of his important 1928 trip to Wyoming. *Wine courtesy of the Sheridan College Foundation.  Hemingway Trivia, poetry and music by Society members at the Best Western Inn following this program. 

Wyoming Humanities Presents Hemingway’s "Wine of Wyoming." This event includes live music from local favorites, Hemingway specialty drinks, and a barbecue with all the fixings, followed by a Keynote Presentation in Kinnison Hall from Craig Johnson, New York Times bestselling author of the Longmire mysteries, and a reading by award-winning actor A Martinez who plays the owner of Wyoming's Four Arrows Casino in the Netflix original series "Longmire.”

The dinner in Cooke City will be at the Historic Range Rider Lodge frequented by Ernest and Pauline in 1938 and ‘39. Catered by Second Set Bistro out of Missoula, it will feature local and seasonal food. A Cocktail Seminar by Phil Greene (Author of To Have and to Have Another: A Hemingway Cocktail Companion and and the founder of The American Museum of the Cocktail.) Closing remarks, followed by live music by local legend Jeff Menuey and his band.
