A Quantitative Guide to Hemingway's Style

As part of Analitics, a series of articles for LitCharts, Justin Rice has released a statistical analysis of Hemingway's writing.  In What Makes Hemingway Hemingway?, he sets out to "quantify [the writer's] style and influence" by analyzing sentence length, word length, lexical richness, dialogue proportion, parts of speech, characteristic words, and legacy.  Throughout, Rice also compares Hemingway's writing style to that of Charles Bukowski, Raymond Carver, Raymond Chandler, F. Scott Fitzgerald, Marcel Proust, Gertrude Stein, and John Steinbeck.
