Ketchum Home in New Hands

Ernest Hemingway's home in Ketchum, Idaho, has transferred hands from The Nature Conservancy to the Community Library.  As part of the library's mission to preserve the community's cultural and literary heritage, the Hemingway house will be the site of a residency program for artists and scholars, and certain artifacts from the house will be preserved in the library's regional history collection.  As Executive Director Jenny Emery Davidson has noted, "The change marks a new approach to the preservation and promotion of the iconic writer's legacy in the American West."  For more, please see the official press release.
