2021 SAMLA Online Conference

SAMLA 2021 Online Conference

November 4-6, 2021 2021

Social Networks -- Social Distances

Call for Papers

The Hemingway Society session solicits a new call for papers with extended (but imminent) deadline for the 2021 SAMLA 93 conference, which recently moved online.

The SAMLA conference theme is “Social Networks, Social Distances,” which calls attention to notions that are “in some respects two sides of the same coin: two opposites (‘networks’ and ‘distances’) held together by ‘social,’ their common denominator.” Proposals may address the conference theme as relevant to Hemingway’s life and work, but any aspect of Hemingway’s life and work will be considered.

Please note that the conference will take place November 4-6 as an entirely virtual event. Please send a 200-word abstract with a brief CV by October 10 to Steve Florczyk, Hampden-Sydney College, sflorczyk@hsc.edu.
